The estimated cost of the scheme is Rs. 1072 Crores with external financial assistance from Asian Development Bank.
8 06-03-2019 Hon’ble Minister-In-Charge, Transport Dept., Govt. of West Bengal – Shri Suvendu Adhikari, has laid the foundation stone for the Surface-Water-Based (River Rupnarayan) Piped Water Supply Scheme for Nandigram-I, Nandigram-II, Chandipur and Nandakumar blocks of district East Medinipur on 6th March, 2019. The scheme is being implemented at an estimated cost of Rs. 1488.50 Crores with external financial assistance from Asian Development Bank.

23 08-08-2017 During the recent flood in different districts of West Bengal, PHED has undertaken a comprehensive action plan to combat the situation and till date restored 55 no. of damaged PWSS, 10323 no. of Tubewells, Deployed 15 nos of MTUs in different startegic locations and 22.75 lakh water pouches to the victims and also supplied 7600 litres of water through tanker.
